HOW IT ALL BEGAN:

In 1986, I was watching the Atlanta Falcons play the San Francisco 49ers and when a scan of the crowd was made, I saw so many different types of people who would give just about anything to be down there on that field. I've seen a lot of games invented and fade away that try to resemble the game of football, but so far NOTHING since 1986 can compare to the game I invented -- AMERICAN GRIDIRON FOOTBALL.

Board games come and go a lot faster than video games. AMERICAN GRIDIRON FOOTBALL is a board game played with a deck of cards, a score card, two designated football helmets, and a football field with instructions on the sideline. AMERICAN GRIDIRON FOOTBALL is a math game designed to enhance mathematical skills for whoever plays it.

Strategy begins in the first play of the first quarter and ends with the last play of the fourth quarter. This game also teaches you how to play the game of football and understand it in its entirety. AMERICAN GRIDIRON FOOTBALL is a family game that takes about two and a half hours to play, exactly as long as it takes to play a regular NFL football game.

This game is designed exactly like football. I put nine years into the design of this game so that it would be a struggle on both offense and defense from start to finish. If you have decent math skills and you are a major football fanatic, then welcome to AMERICAN GRIDIRON FOOTBALL.

The reason why I designed this as a board game is because board games are making a comeback and the way this game is played, it can only be played on a board. Kids love the fact that there is a board designed just like a football field and there are helmets of all thirty football teams that can be used to play on the board. AMERICAN GRIDIRON FOOTBALL enhances mathematical skills and also teaches how to play the game of football.

Each individual NFL city will have its own specialized edition of AMERICAN GRIDIRON FOOTBALL. For example; AMERICAN GRIDIRON FOOTBALL PRESENTS....DALLAS COWBOYS FOOTBALL or SAN FRANCISCO 49ers FOOTBALL or TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS FOOTBALL, and so on. The game will be the same for all NFL cities.

Each specialized edition will feature the team's famous players on the cards and on the box and the football field will be designed exactly as each team's home field. The four cards representing the quarterback, the four cards representing the wide receiver, and the four running back cards will depict actual game players from the past as well as the present. The six blitz cards will also show pictures of famous players from the past and present. The pictures of these famous players have no significance on the playing of the game whatsoever.

AMERICAN GRIDIRON FOOTBALL can be played as a card game on Airplanes, school yards, frat houses, picnics, on road trips in cars, in-between plays during halftimes, etc.

AMERICAN GRIDIRON FOOTBALL was designed to represent all NFL Football Teams, not individual players. Individual players are not represented because the TEAMS remain in the league while players come and go. By representing all 30 NFL teams, AMERICAN GRIDIRON FOOTBALL promotes the teams every year, not the individual players. The selection of the individual players to appear on the quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and blitz cards may vary every year, making the game a collector's item.
